Bea Schneider welcomes you in her seaside restaurant in a homely atmosphere. Bea prepares her fresh dishes with passion, inspired by French and Belgian cuisine.

Choice of name AXO-LOTL ?

Axo Lotl Restaurant is named after a type of Mexican Salamander that changes into different wonderful colours, White with Pink, Browns & shades of Gold. I find one of the most fascinating characteristics of this beautiful creature, is its ability to regenerate & its will to survive. 

This Salamander reminds me of many ordinary people who have to be strong, finding their own difficult path through life.

Having had a break of several months & with the discontinuation of my adapted swimming pool, I am now to realize my Second dream….. own a small restaurant.

With the support from my devoted husband Patrick, we are opening our Boutique Restaurant. We welcome you to our Axo Lotl & its colourful menu.

Pure & Tasty

Cooking has always been part of & a big interest throughout my whole life, I create recipes with great passion. I love working in the kitchen & being creative with different food. My philosophy for food has always been; Daring to try new ideas & recipes, bringing back old traditional recipes, enjoying being innovative with food.

Born in Germany, I have been living and working in Belgium for over 20 years, so I guess I now can call myself a real Belgian. In terms of food, the love of Belgian and French cuisine has me completely convinced to serve this. My love of other cuisines extends beyond our boarders, you will also be able to enjoy German, Italian, Asian cuisine or simply world cuisine with me.Meat, Fish, Poultry, Vegetables and so much more ……. 

“Local and regional”

I love to work with quality regional meats & ingredients, working with organic produce whenever possible.

It is not always easy to please everyone, my kitchen is always open & we will create something just right. We always have Vegetarian options for our clients.

The inside of the Restaurant has 16 seats with a further 20 outside for alfresco dining. Enjoy the personal touch of being treated like family 7 will take care of your every need.

The menu consists of a combination of French regional and Belgian local dishes. and will also consist of a few starters, soup, starter of the moment, 3 main courses and dessert.

We regularly update our choice of selected wines, from France and Italy, 2 of the largest & well known wine producers in Europe..
